YES!  and I was a premium subscriber before ... all the theings you said and it doesn't work in landscape view, etc.

Change is part of the game but how you break something that worked that badly, and want to charge people more for the privilege ... I left a one-star review in the app store with comments, and would have left a zero-star review if I thought it was possible.
