There are a bunch of Ford 8000 through 9600's pulling around here and they do really well when you turn them up. There are a few dominant Fords in the Interstate pullers out of PA/VA/MD, mostly through the creation or assistance of the Forresters out of Chambersburg, PA. They are nice people and if you gave them a call they would probably be willing to help you out in one way or another.

 I really like the Ford 8000-9600 tractors.  They add a splash of color, look pretty cool, and can really hook up if you know what you're doing.  In fact one of my favorite pulling memories was watching a Ford 9000 weighted down to 18,000# beat a bunch of 4850's and Magnums with a full pull in the wee hours of the morning at New Centerville, PA probably 10+ years ago now.
