As inconvenient and expensive as it may be, transmission or engine problems are probably not likely to kill anyone.

A rusted through axle may and in fact will likely kill someone sooner or later.

If Ford truly has taken a new direction as their CEO recently claimed, I would think they would at least alert dealers about this rear axle disintegrating.

These were sold as and are usually used as "family" vehicles. Do we need a family tragedy before they do something?
