I put a 4d in mine.. Yes I had to do 30mins of modifications
But its worked just fine for 5 years plus....
As i remember i bent one tap down and welded a longer strap to hold the battery down
Did the same thing for the neighbors a few years ago
think the 4D batteries are around $140
