I'm glad I didn't price it. I planted a small fraction of normal, and that is 48#, 27% moisture, and being covered in snow, while the ground is too soft to hold up a combine.
Don't know how your forward pricing on grain works, but here the elevator wants the grain. Won't give you a do-over.
If you contracted any above todays price, it wouldn't take much to cover, I wouldn't think. Now if no crop and the price goes up that is a different story. Think 2004 early frost.
