Short answer, no. No reason to avoid a Clark.

Forklifts are made to be used all day, every day. They are built so much better than farm equipment there is no real comparison.

I have a ~1994 Yale, it had 17,xxx hours on it when I bought it 15 or so years ago. Repacked one tilt cylinder and replaced the water pump since I've owned it. Couple batteries and oil changes, it just runs.
