Taper bearings get loose and then the play takes out the seal, have put new bearings and seals in, seems very hard to get the shimming right, so the last 3 or 4 gearboxes we got straight from farmking, say china right on them, so between the 4 gearboxes they generally go when they are about a year old, the one that we put in last november is damp on the seal again, could it be rpm related or horsepower related? 1586 is a solid 165 hp and I'm guessing it gets over reved but pretty hard to tell on an old tractor, westfield we run then exact same way, powers the 15 right out, seems the flighting on farmking is gone in half the time of westfeild as well, very hard to keep track of bushels with our scattered bin sights, we try to grease the knuckles an u joints everytime everytime tractor gets fueled up, 10 x 70 also blew up pto but when we went for parts figured out it had the light drive shaft

If you're running it last rpm how is that the auger fault? And how can you not tell the rpm? Are you running 1000 PTO shaft by chance?
