Lenawee Co Michigan | Photo #1 brings back memories. I still have one of those hand cranked butter churns in the granary. When I was a kid, grandpa had me take it out in the field and mix soybean seed with Nitragin innoculum as he was planting. A half-bushel of seed, a handful of the black bacteria, crank away then load it in the planter.
It wasn't considered antique yet, and was built stout enough that using it as a mixer didn't hurt it any. | |
