Subject: You'd love pivots.

Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums.
If you put up some pivots, your traveling guns will rust away in the weeds. I know a pivot man who would be delighted to give you some quotes. Email me if you're interested. We almost got the sixth span up on our new one today but we got a temporary hard shower and the crew took off. We've had 7/10ths total for July. I don't think we'll have to haul many beans this fall...

I don't have any hills, but they will go up hills you wouldn't want to walk up. Plus you have options like tracks or tri-drives or even bogies. Pivots are amazingly strong. In 1998 I left a pickup parked in a track. It basically walked right through the truck and never even stopped or got out of line. I was impressed and P.O.ed at the same time. The problem with hills is washouts. One way to help with that is the use of boombacks so that the pivot wheels are on dry ground. Helps a lot.
