E ND | I don't have anything to add about JD tractors burning, I haven't been around them much but I will comment on the idea of fire suppression someone else brought up. You can get a manual or automatic fire suppression put on a machine starting at about $10k. Wet chemical or dry are both options and they can aim nozzles at sensitive areas. You shouldn't "need" one but when we're talking about protecting $500k machines operating in high debris situations it's a pretty reasonable solution to consider. AFEX and Ansul are the two systems I've worked with and have dealer networks. | |
