Subject: RE: Aphids, a chopper, and more aphids

Eastern Ontario

Jim, I'm not sure on the sugar levels on the beans right now. I do have one field which has significantly less aphids. I should go out and compare brix levels.

What's the number on the NK variety?

I've never seen snails on soybeans before. Only slugs. Went to the Experimental farm in Ottawa today to look at some bean plots. Really nice beans up there. Aphids were already sprayed but are coming back. Also seen some Japanese beetles chewing away at the leaves. That's another pest that we don't need.
