You can use dry or liquid, I like the dry and let mother nature take over. The liquid may be more helpful in your situation.

I would put down at least 100 lbs per acre of dry or 10 gallons of liquid. You are going to get some burn but would have worked perfectly here this week with an inch of rain.

If slugs are that bad, you might consider.

If it gets hot next week, not so much gain.

If you have small or no nodules on the roots, another reason to put on N and sulfur.

I like to avoid that but sometimes it can't be helped.
