Maryland | I have been running a 35' on my case 7120 for 7 years now. Absolutely love it. It is like it was made for this combine. Bought an adapter kit from bish. The cutter bar has hydraulic down pressure similar to a JD auger flex head where you can adjust the down pressure based on your conditions. Head has the most flex available where a Mac Don is three rigid heads which flex from each other. It has tilt which is nice when you see a groundhog hole, just roll it back and head flexes right over it and doesnt pick up dirt from the mound. SCH cutterbar is great. It has a stone guard between the cutter bar and belt which keeps most of the rocks out, the rest go to the center where it is kicked out by the center belt. the center belt rolls from underneath toward the cutter bar so it kind of flicks the rocks out or will hold the bigger ones. there is an 18 inch well there. Only weak point is the reel. 9255 really beefed up the reel, but to make the perfect head I wish it was a 2 or 3 piece reel. With that much flex it wants to eat the fingers in the center unless you keep the cutterbar forward more than you are used to. | |
