I'm sure there is a lawyer somewhere that we can thank for that. Can't you just hear him say, "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my client died because his IV bag was not supported at the prescribed height."
This same lawyer probably has a brother-in-law that manufactures $100 tape measures for hospitals.
