Thanks for the response. I would have thought that at some point the soil microbes would break it down. What problems are expected to be realized by the presence of these tiny plastic pieces?
Dunno about the problem but if I think of rocks - - - - even small stuff - - - - once the percentage gets above a level (no ideas what - - - sorry) the water holding capabilities is going to drop - - - - no matter what else I've got present.
So - - - - I want to limit any particles that aren't positive for what I am trying to do - - - so I don't want plastic - - - - nothing worth anything that I know of grows on it?
Maybe it could be used as a rooting medium for hydroponics? (Thinking outside the box.) |
