Can someone tell me a few of the pros and cons for both dorper sand katahdin. Currently have a friend running dorper but was looking at katahdins since they are a little bigger. And does anyone have experience with katahdin ewes on dorper bucks? Thanks for any info.

I haven't looked into it carefully but have run across more than a few comments that suggest that hair sheep tend to hit a weight plateau well before the weight needed for slaughter here in North America.
That means that finishing the lambs is going to take longer and cost more than with wool sheep. Is that cost offset by not needing to shear - - - - dunno. YMMV

I'd agree with that assessment, but my best market is the ethnic market and they like lambs on the light side.
