NW Iowa | There is a timer delay switch that was bad. Basically a relay that when the key shuts off, it gives power to the fuel solenoid on the injection pump for 5-10 seconds that pull the fuel shutoff on the injection pump. Just had that timer delay go bad again and ordered another 2 so I had one on hand. Also had the key switch go bad. When we turned the key to the left to activate the glow plugs, it would not send power to the glow plugs relay so no power to glow plugs. Have to replace it as well. Bad thing is the key switch has to be bought with the harness. $100 for the key switch when a normal switch would be $20-30. All the parts for this little thing are expensive. Tried many different local avenues to source the parts local and cheaper and cannot. | |
