Depends on your silage moisture. Not sure if you meant 30% grain moisture or 30% silage moisture. If you have 30% silage moisture i would guess there is possibility of a fire especially with bales stacked against the pile. I have heard of it happening but have never seen it. Plenty of silage that never got chopped around here including our place. First time in 60 plus years there wasn’t a load of corn silage chopped here. A garden hose does very little when it is that dry and coming at you 150 ton an hour.
