On the Gleaner 3000, I would think the fluff in front of the feeder house could be reduced by making the opening behind the auger bigger. Mine is only 12" tall. I see no reason why the opening couldn't be 16" tall or more. I believe, I measured the opening on my combine at 21" if I recall correctly.
