Just don't run them out of fuel.
The deere will recover with a couple key-cycles, and a little bit longer cranking.
The challenger will be a couple hour ordeal that involves draining your batteries, getting the jumper, cracking fuel lines, manually priming, spraying diesel everywhere, inventing a few new cuss words, etc. This becomes exponentially more frustrating when it's cold out, but being you're from TX, that shouldn't be as bad.
Other than that, they are decent tractors.
I know a guy who had the fuel gauge quit on his 945. Said he had 3/4 tank but was empty. Took close to half a day to get it running again....including figuring out the problem. |
