What wood was used for the silos? Was the wood specific to the area or specific wood no matter the area? Does the haylage or silage acids preserve the wood. Make it harder? Maybe the insides, but what about the outside? Thanks for sharing that.
Douglas fir is what I was always told. The exterior was painted white. not much of that left any more
