Northeast Nebraska and Candelaria Philippines | hes 33... ya, you are right about putting it out wide on wet ground. That doesn't work. Sometimes there just isn't anyway a guy can win. Here in north east nebraska, our 1st and 2nd cutting doesn't bleach too bad, so we put them cutting out wider. 3rd and 4th cuttings bleach worse. This is due to the heavier dew in the mornings. I thought WY always had low humidity though, and you guys always got your hay up. I know many years hay is coming from KS, CO, an WY to NE because of quality issues. We got all our first and second cuttings up without rain, and got it sold out of the field for a good price. We are pretty darn lucky about that this year. It tested 180 and 170 RFV. 320 acres of it each cutting. |
