Subject: i love Extreme no-till!

near Orleans, France

very nice corn stand !

remember me 8 years ago when my brother bought his farm, field where about yours before mowing. sprayed with hi rate of glypho then no tilled wheat without mowing with my 750, just put the tractor wheel on the bigest ones (6-7 feet hight oaks). then later hand cuted the few bigers. never  had flat on tires because we didnt mow.

yelds were not very hight the 2 firsts years but paid the (few) labor and (low) inputs

dont worry too much about re-growth of trees, after 3 or 4 years of no-tilling they'll disapppear because of  the glypho every year and other weed killers you'll use on crops.

dont do the mistake we did on one part of the farm, fire burning the weeds: the fire take out the dormancy of the weeds, and this part was very very weedy!

if it was to do again, i would no-till buckwheat the first year because it is a good crop against weeds.

you will not have a lot of bugs (wire worms) the first year , they have enought weeds roots to eat , but take care the folowing years
