Madison Co. Virginia | Have several here. Much prefer them to the metal ones. Sturdier, easier to move, should last a lot longer.
Being so light weight, it makes it easy to feed without getting off the tractor to move rings. Pull the bale wrap off as you first enter the field, then approach the feeding area with a bale on each end of the tractor. Drop the front bale into a ring, spear the second ring, drop the rear bale in its place, and circle around to set the ring back on the bale. Works best if you have a multi-prong spear on the front. With a single spear, you risk creasing the plastic pipe when lifting, but it's still quite doable.
Beware that they fly out of a pickup bed quite easy when being hauled upright. The metal ones stay put. The plastic ones will be left in the ditch on the first sharp corner, if you're not watching your speed.
