SW Ohio | Not CRP, this is about the only kind of ground I can find to add on to my meager patches, this was a farm next door to a place where I bale hay, no one has touched it for 8-10 years except for the real estate developer that piled his overburden spoils in the middle of what was a 60 acre field.
I mowed it one day and planted the next, put 50 gal 28% and 15 gal 10-34-0 on with the planter. Rained a little on day three and got it sprayed with one quart glypho and 2.2 qt confidence extra on day four., and since I am half nuts anyway, I went non-gmo!!! I have done this before and the other place made 140 bu corn the first year(above average for here), weed control was excellent and remained so for five years until we plowed it and then the weeds came on strong.
