South central, Mn. | Need at least 5 days of good dry and windy weather to get that stuff dry to bale. I had some plain sudangrass which has a smaller stem and a bit easier to dry but not by much. Cut it with a 10.5 ft discbine and used a wheel rake to rake it 3 days in a row. The wheel rake won't rope the windrows like a side delivery. The last day I doubled up the windrows and it was nice and dry. | |
