ANYTHING but junk!

I would wager that a roto disc will have less than 10% of the gear box failures of most lawn mower blade style chopping heads.

As for parts prices. They may initially appear high but I’m certain the per acre cost is no higher and likely lower than others. I have an Elite series roto disc (2013 @ newer). I made almost 7,000 on an 8 row before I replaced the first 5 discs on the cutting roll. I made 5,000 acres before I replaced rotary and stationary knives. Long story short that was about $0.50/acre for chopping parts. Only other part I have replaced is the chain for auger.

As for the common complaint about down corn. They may not be as good as others I do not know but I find when I remove the half moon hoods they are pretty good. G-hoff suggests to remove the ear saversand stationary knives as well.

Best chopping job bar none imo. Also I believe the residue is less susceptible to blowing away than other chopping heads or fail shredders.

I’m sure it is lowest hp requiring head...especially at high ground speeds
