SW MN | They take the least amount of HP to run compared to Every other chopping head. What parts aren't high? But the German's know how to build Equipment, No Chinese bearings or parts. Yes the disc's need replacing after a lot of acres. They leave the stump chewed up, no need for stalk stompers. Have a mechanic that knows them look it over. It easy to see the condition of the disc's. and the cut off knife. Post some photo's or take a new disc with you to compare. If your running in down corn take the cutoff knife off. Don't be talked out of a good one.
Edit: Junk? JD's first 2 series were nothing but problems around here. CaseIH same thing, first 2 series lots of issue's.
I'd take a used RD over anything from JD or Case that is a few years old...
