My 16" inch well drilled 4 years ago cost around $170,000 with 200 hp electric motor and VFD. Well is drilled to 650'. Top 300' is not slotted it is for home and livestock use. Pump is set at 200'. Static water table is at 70'.

Last year my dryland corn made 30-50 bu/ac. and the irrigated made 185-200 bu.

This year the irrigated cotton is going to out yield the drylands by a bale/ac. Only one watering.
