I'll echo your comment for my area. Also a good well here produces 500 gpm and when you drill there is no guarantee you will hit an economical water source at all. Drilling for new water is pretty risky.


Nobody can drill new holes in Kansas. You can redrill an old water right, but no new wells. And 1500 GPM?!!! Holy crap. I could be a good farmer with that. Biggest one I know of around is 400.


Most new installations around here are designed to put out two inches a week. We can get that kind of volume at around 400 feet. 40 miles southwest of here it’s 1000 feet and then you will probably not get that much volume. 100 miles south they can do it at 100-150 feet.
