Subject: Pic of irrigated vs non irrigated beans


In my area (north east arkansas) irrigation is a necessity. Most of the row crops are planted on beds and watered with poly pipe. The picture shows an irrigated bean field with a few rows not getting watered because of the electrical poles. Some years our yields could easily be cut in half with no irrigation. I put down a new 16 inch well two years ago for $16,000. You can see that it will pay for itself in 2 or 3 dry years.
