nc IA | Crazier yet - I sold my bean head and drill this year. Hoping not to need the predefined prescription this harvest then as a result due to my allergies which are very severe with beans.
Food grade market got soft, and too far to ship. My fear was if I left the inner roof/rafters in place it would stress the bin more then it needed going up/down through that transition with the "pull" of the grain as it was emptied.
Good project to remove myself - just sucked to be the one on the ladder underneath as my 12 year old hit the impact on all the seam bolts - that was dirty and nasty!
And playing grown up "lawn darts" with the sheets and rafters was kind of fun - those rafters made some serious divots in the gravel yard. Taking the last 3 rafters down was... interesting, but went well with no injuries. | |
