South Eastern VA | So back on July 28th I planted a strip around one of my small fields for a wildlife screen / cover crop. I have never planted Sorghum Sudan before so was excited to try it, plus I got an email offering FREE SHIPPING so I jumped all over that! lol Anyway, I broadcast 50lbs of it on bare ground about a 60 ft wide pass and used a homemade field drag to cover the seed a bit. I didn’t add any fertilizer that day because a thunderstorm chased me out of the field. It didn’t rain for at least 2 1/2 weeks after that and our temperature was about 98-100 with 100% humidity every day.The cover crop got about two feet tall in two weeks and then I spread 100 lbs of urea at about week four. Now it is almost seven feet tall and beautiful dark green. That ugly thing in the background is me, I am 6’5” tall and it’s getting taller than me!Very happy with this stuff!
