More like crap rolls down hill. I would rather pay $1000 for a calf and make $100 then pay $600 and lose $100.
Only positive is this should lead to heard liquidations, which will mean high calf prices for a couple of years, fallowed by 10 years of low prices. Guess that was not so positive after all.
As a farmer, feeder and cow/calf guy I am considering selling off the stock cows and renting out the pasture.
