Could be the armrest circuit board, further diagnostics are needed.
The small switch tested ok. I ordered the shifter circuit board to try that. I'll know tomorrow. One thing I did notice was a small amount of metal shavings on the shift knob magnet and a spec or two on that circuit board. I cleaned it off and was half tempted to put it back together and try it...but I only want to do it once if possible. There's a lot going on in that armrest.
