We do get some additional fat (and calories) from some oil supplements we take. But we do not take them particularly for the diet per se. We take them for other health reasons, not specifically to lose weight. But they do add to our dietary fat. We take 3-4 teaspoons of fish oil per day and a couple teaspoons of MCT (C8 C10) oil plus a couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (short chain fatty acids). Those have more to do with brain and body health rather than diet for losing weight, but like I say, they do add to the total fat and energy consumed for the day. But that is a whole nuther subject. :-) John
