I try to do that every year. All that bean fuzz packs tight on the end cap. I don't know if it would ever be able to start blocking off tubes but better to have it cleaned out I guess. Make sure you check all the set screws that hold the tubes in the saddles I had a few loosen up last year and I actually put one through the combine.
