Subject: RE: take the right kind of snacks to the field

Well John, I tried pork rinds. The smell was really bad when I opened the bag. Taste was equally bad. I could not bring myself to eat an entire one and I worked on it awhile, lol.

Had the same struggle with microwaved almond bread but maybe I got a bad recipe for it.

I’m finding this to be a challenge...

I like omelets but one big one every 3 or 4 days is probably the max before I would get sick of them. I like bratwurst and can probably eat them a lot before I get sick of them but only 64% of their calories are fat so I’m not sure if that’s enough.

I can eat broccoli and cauliflower and cheese, that’s good.

I can’t eat much broccoli plain and am not sure what I can dip it in. Would usually do ranch.

Spinach makes a great salad but I don’t know what dressing I can put on it.

Had a half a cup of strawberries today, maybe not very good to do.

A guy can eat a lot of bacon but not all the time.

Need to try some riced cauliflower.

One big concern is that I may not be getting enough fat. Seems like you’re supposed to be at 80% fat, 15+% protein and the rest is carbs/sugar right? I think I’m doing good with the carbs for the most part but I’m concerned the protein ratio may be too high.

Just my experiences so far...
