Not sure about putting PEX in a house...could be done I suppose and a whole lot cheaper, but I ran PEX out to my barn a few years ago, and have been happy with it since, including the flow. If's it's cheaper, I wouldn't have a problem with installing it, but would be careful with it in "cold" areas.
