I run a 7830 with ivt and a loader. 11,000 hours on it in the feedlot. Lots of idling and lots of hard hours too.

At 9,000 hours the gasket on the transmission pump blew out. That was a $11,000 fix. It is a known problem. The dealership fixed 3 with the same gasket blown out.


It may not matter, but in this discussion we've been talking about small frame 7X30 tractors. A 7830 is large frame.

May not make much difference in serviceability/ longevity, but they are definitely built on a different platform.



Thanks captain obvious. I was just letting him know that ivt trannys are dependable.
