Subject: RE: kidney failure and meat with bonus - salt

I think my biggest problem is convenience. If I’m hungry it’s pretty hard not to just grab whatever is easiest in the cabinet which is usually something that was supposed to be an easy desert like Oreo’s or something equally healthy.

Just like this morning, I have been working on various things and didn’t take the time to make a good breakfast first thing. Not sure how many times I went to the cabinet and about grabbed a bowl of cereal. Not really hungry but sure not full. Finally made a large 4-egg omelet with some leftover pork shoulder roast, bacon, lots of onion and green pepper and lots of Colby jack cheese. Now I feel like I’ve had a monster meal right in the middle of the day and I don’t even know if I should eat again today. Not really sure how to plan the day to prepare for this evening. I suppose if I figured the calories I might get a rough idea of what to expect for later.

The goal for me will be to get up early and get a monster breakfast prepared that will make it unlikely for me to be hungry until the evening. I really think the key for success every day will be determined by whether I get breakfast handled right.

If I’m hungry while I’m driving between fields and near town I’m doomed. If I need to manage snack foods throughout the day I’m doomed (I already have to carry too much stuff around). If I need to depend on someone else to bring me food halfway through the day I’m doomed. My wife is on board with me doing this but she’s not sold on it enough for her and the kids doing it. None of them struggle with weight. So to have her make a meal for them and a different meal for me and then drive it out to me is a stretch. I need it to be simple or I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to make it a lifestyle change.
