Wi | You don't want the router out there, keep it in the house. You just need an access point.
I use a lot of UBNT UAP-AC-M for outdoor stuff. Best to run a cable to it but it will Mesh if you can't get a cable there. Like any other AP it will struggle to go through your metal buildings.
Better solution for high speeds is a Bridge AP at the house (I use a UBNT Rocket 5AC Prism G2 w/omni antenna, but avoid the omni if you can get away with a sector or directional). Then put a full feature nanostation 5AC at the important buildings with a UAP-AC-M hooked into the passthrough PoE port. Turn off 2.4Ghz on everything, tune your channels and you'll have fast wi-fi everywhere for not much work or investment. |
