Seward/Saline, Nebraska | All pea ground this year went to teff and grazing. Teff will be cut tomorrow and that mix will be no tilled later this week. This will be no till corn next year. Grazing will start this week and if cattle are off by Oct 15th I'll no till the mix into that. If it's good enough I'll no till corn into it, if not I'll use the Horsch Joker.
Should start picking corn in 30 days or so and I'll plant HV again until Oct 15th. That'll get the Joker but I'm going to leave a couple rounds to see what no till COC looks like.
Pic below is no tilling HV into teff stubble last year - it worked awesome - zero erosion and we had some devastating rains last spring.
