I know it's not the same, but I had grown a forage cowpea for seed on a friend's place a few years ago. He followed with corn and didn't use much for residual broadleaf control. He had enough early cowpeas volunteer in the corn, they were nearly at ear height when he was trying to get the corn. Said he was so mad, he could hardly see straight.
