There isn’t any corn north of Interstate 80 that is in the milk stage on Sept 1 that will make black layer. It is impossible with the current forecast. There are millions of milk layer corn. The low is in. The end users are frantically trying to buy corn which is why basis is so strong. The futures market does not have clue but will figure it out when the combines roll.
