The feed should at least pay for the tillage and cover crop seed. Anything grazed later will be a bonus.
I'm tempted to spread my poultry litter this fall instead of 4-6 weeks ahead of planting in the spring. Not sure if the oats and triticale will scavenge enough without having too high of nitrate level to safely graze.
Relay cover crop?
