Subject: John Deere S-series rotor loss sensor.

Anamoose, ND
Have a JD S680 that I am having problems with the rotor loss sensor. I have verified that I do not have rotor loss. I cleaned the sensor off and unplugged the harness from the sensor then plugged the wires back in, it worked as it should for a few minutes then began to gradually read higher and higher. I turned the sensitivity all the way down and it still shows loss. Next I installed a new sensor pad without any success. It has to be in the wiring. From the rotor loss sensor where is the next connection point I can check? Having the rotor loss read so high all the times makes it a challenge to use the grain loss monitor to set the machine. In my old 9860 I never had this problem and my rotor loss was always low. Thanks for any info or advice.....
