There is a lot of new research out on Diabetes. If you have it (or even pre-diabetes) don't assume your doctor (or even the ADA) is up to date. Changes in medical recommendations change at a glacial rate. Thread below Dr Benjamin Bikman is a must watch for any diabetic (or anyone that has a belly that hangs over their belt, because if you are not already and un-diagnosed, you likely will be in a few years). PHD researcher specializing in insulin resistance (type II diabetes and metabolic syndrome). https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=benjamin+bikman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMwlp2p1IwU If a drug company comes out with a new drug, millions of dollars will be spent promoting it. If research points out low cost or no cost things a person can do to improve their health, a few scientists read it, it gets shoved into a desk or published in some obscure medical journal, and there is no money to promote it. The information is out there, but you have to seek it out yourself.
