Subject: Honestly I didn't learn a darn thing...

Martinsville, Ohio

Good question though, Tom.

I was already using the right soil test.

I was already selecting the best hybrids.

I was already selecting the best seed lots and treatments.

I was already planting early.

I was already pushing populations depending on hybrid.

I was already doing everything I knew to do.  But I can't equal his yields, though I will keep trying.  Yield monitor hit 317 in the sweet spot in 04 and 130 on soy in 06 but trouble is, it isn't two acres.

Guess I will never be there and that is OK.

Never going to be near his soil test levels, either:

All in all I am happy just where I am but always willing and eager to learn.

That is why I love NewAgTalk.
