I tried to switch to Krone a couple of years ago, but no dealer would let me try one out. KBE wouldn’t even call back with a price. Gave up run 2270XD’s and a regular 2270.
Last summer I bought a krone Tedder and took it south for straw. Had some things break but fixed them and kept going because it was too far away from dealer. Get it back up here and take it to them for warranty work. Called and said Krone rep is coming to see if they will even warranty it because so many things are broken. One salesman told me they wouldn’t warranty stuff I tore up. I operated the machine within the parameters laid out in the operators manual.
If that’s how krone wants to treat there customers, I will switch brands.
Weight wise the krone balers make heavier bales than the MF, but I can always sell or trade my MFs for decent money and operation wise it seems the MFs are a little more user friendly and have a better dealer network. Good luck with your search! RJV
